This custom table and bench was for a growing family who were concerned about harsh edges and corners. So, I beveled the top of the table making it kid friendly. I also made it very strong and sturdy by adding trestle angles and metal cross members(which I finished in a flat black paint). This reclaimed wood was from a 1930's barn in Brownsville, Oregon. Wood finished in a satin polyurethane for durability.
